Please show this video to your students the day before or the day of the assembly. We recommend you check to ensure the video will play on all computers you intend to use to show your students, at least two weeks prior to your scheduled assembly date, to allow time for alternate options if you experience trouble in playing this video.

The video window doesn't open.

 

If you have a pop-up blocker, set it to allow pop-ups from this site. Some pop-up blockers will allow you to open a pop-up by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on the link to the pop-up.

Microsoft Internet Explorer has it's own built-in pop-up blocker. When a pop-up is blocked you will see an info bar at the top of the explorer window, like this:

Right-click on the info bar and select "Always Allow POP-ups from This Site..."

The video doesn't play.

 

Ensure that you have Adobe Flash Player installed.

 

The video keeps stopping to buffer.

 

Try pausing the video and allowing it to buffer of a minute. If the video cannot stream continuously after allowing it to buffer for a minute you may need to watch the video in a lower quality. The player has four different copies of the video in various qualities for different internet speeds. When the player first loads, it will attempt to determine the most appropriate video quality for your internet connection. If it incorrectly loads at a higher quality than your internet connection can handle, close the video windows and click the video link again to allow the player to refresh and re-determine your connection speed.

 

I can see the video, but I can't hear anything.

 

Make sure the player volume in the bottom right is not muted like this: Muted Volume It should look like this: Full Volume Also, make sure your computer is not muted, your computer speakers are plugged in to the speaker jack on your computer and not the mic jack, and if they have a power button, it is on. Check to see if you can you play any other sounds on your computer, such as music files.

 

I can't make the video full screen. The in the top right button is greyed out.

 

Click on Full Screen in the bottom right corner of the player. To exit out of full screen press the Esc key on the keyboard.

 

I tried all the above suggestions and am still having trouble playing the video.
